About Alex

I am Alex Kloety. Here is a little bit about me, the creator of this site. I am currently 22 years old. This site is a resource for myself as well as other people. While most of the material will center around Substance Use Disorders and Treatments, you may find an emphasis on counseling people with disabilities.

I have had about 20 surgeries since I was 2 months old. I have Juvenile Rhuematoid Arthritis, Hearing loss, and as of about two years ago, am legally blind. I think this is important to let you know because I want to continue my education so that I can help young adults adjust to life with a disability. Therefore, you may notice a slight bias in the topics I choose.

I also understand that vision loss is a disability that has little representation in schools and society in general. When I first lost my vision I needed to relearn how to do things and at times, I felt limited. I went back to school just two months after lossing my vision, and I had some difficulty. However, I also want to stress in this website that there is no disability or disease that can hold you back from your dreams! My goal is to provide quality information on Substance Use Disorders while also inspiring people to push themselve to reach their dreams.

In the end, I want to leave the door open for anyone to contact me about any questions you may have for me. If it is about AODA Counseling, I will do my best to answer or direct you to a resource that can help. If you want to ask me a question about any of my disabilities, please do so without hesitation. I am more than happy to help anyone who wants it. Just send me an email and I will respond as soon as I can (normally within 24-48 hours).

My email is: akloety@yahoo.com

Thank you for visiting my site and have a PHONEMENAL day!
